Before you book

Asked before every job.

Answers in plain words. If yours is not here, text 205-521-1663 and you will get one.

01What is the difference between soft washing and pressure washing?

Soft washing uses low pressure and a cleaning solution to kill algae, mildew and mold on siding, roofs and wood. Pressure washing uses force on hard, flat surfaces like concrete and stone. The surface decides which one you get, not the equipment on the truck.

02Will you pressure wash my roof?

No. Shingle and metal roofs get a soft wash only. Pressure strips the granules that protect a shingle and shortens the life of the roof, so the solution does the work and a low pressure rinse carries it off.

03How much does it cost?

Every property is quoted after a look. Size, surface, height and how much has grown on it all move the number. Text the address and a photo to 205-521-1663 and you will get a quote, not a runaround.

04What areas do you serve?

Birmingham and the suburbs around it: Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Mountain Brook and Homewood over the mountain, Chelsea, Pelham and Helena down 280 and I-65, Trussville to the northeast. Near the edge of that? Text the address to 205-521-1663 and ask.

05When can you come out?

The phone is answered 24/7, so call or text whenever it comes up, and the schedule gets worked out with you from there.

06Do I need to be home?

Usually not. Leave an outside spigot turned on, close the windows, move cars off the driveway and unlock any gates. Everything else gets confirmed by text before the truck shows up.

07Is the cleaning solution safe for plants and pets?

Plants and beds near the work get wet down before and rinsed after, and anything sensitive gets covered. Keep pets inside while the crew is working and until the surfaces are dry.

08How do I pay?

Credit and debit cards, Zelle, Venmo, PayPal are all accepted. Payment is settled once the job has been walked and you have seen it.

09How often should a house be washed in Birmingham?

Most homes here show algae again in two to three years, sooner on a shaded north wall under pines. Roofs go longer between washes. When the green comes back, it is time; there is no reason to wash a clean house.

10Will soft washing hurt my paint or vinyl?

No. The pressure is about what comes out of a garden hose. The solution does the cleaning and is rinsed off fully, so paint, vinyl and caulk lines are left alone.

11What is the black streaking on my roof?

Gloeocapsa magma, an algae that feeds on the limestone filler in asphalt shingles. It spreads downhill from the ridge and holds moisture against the roof. A soft wash kills it; rain does not.

12Can you get oil stains off my driveway?

Often most of it, not always all of it. Oil soaks into concrete, and a degreaser lifts what has not gone deep. You will hear before the work starts what will and will not come out. Text a photo to 205-521-1663 for a straight answer.

13Do you clean out gutters?

Yes. Gutter faces and downspouts get washed with the house, and blocked gutters have been cleared as part of a roof wash. Ask when you book so it is on the ticket and quoted with the rest.

14Do you wash commercial buildings?

Ask. Building exteriors, storefront sidewalks and dumpster pads are the same surfaces as a house at a larger scale. Text a photo of the building to 205-521-1663.

15How long does a house wash take?

A single story house with the concrete out front is usually a few hours. A two story with a roof wash is most of a day. Weather moves the schedule, and you will hear about it before it does.
